Our Tuning Services
Hot Waxing
Temperature-specific iron-on wax treatment designed to protect your base in, scrapped, brushed, buffed, and polished.

Edge Sharpening
Side and base edge precision filing for superior grip on hardpack, with custom detuning on contact points for a smoother ride.

Storage Wax
Hot waxed by hand to apply a thick layer of wax applied at the end of the season and left on (not scraped off) to protect the base and edges during storage.

Base edge sharpening and bevelling, hot waxed buffed and polished.

At HD Ski/Snowboard Tuning, our expertise is built on years of chasing winter. We understand that high-quality wax and edge work aren't just about speed—they're about control, safety, and extending the life of your gear.
I run a home-based workshop, meaning my turnaround times are usually just a couple of days and generally no more than a week. I can't offer a base grind option, but every pair of skis or snowboard gets a high level of personal care and attention. If you have left servicing to the last minute, my turnaround time can take the stress out of getting your kit ready for the slopes.

Opening Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday all day. I will give the address when booking you in.
Repairs: If you are requesting a repair service, please use the Attachments section to upload any useful photos of the damage so that I can advise on the level of service required. Final agreement on service will be done face to face.
Once the service is complete: I will email, message or call you to let you know the service is complete. I will request payment prior to collection and payment details. We can then agree a time for collection (generally during the Opening Hours but at other times by exception and always by prior agreement).
Snowboards: Please remove snowboard bindings prior to dropping off with me (it's also better for your board to store it that way as it releases the tension your board is under - this can cause distortion of the board).
Bags / etc: Please do not plan to leave ski or snowboard bags or other items with me (except by prior arrangement). It is purely a question of storage space.
Surprises: Please let me know at the time of booking how many sets of kit you would like serviced. While I love the extra business of suddenly getting more skis/boards in, it does affect my capacity planning.
